From our very first steps as a small local business, Tungsten Engineering has always been driven by one simple principle — to deliver quality engineering solutions that our customers can rely on. What started out as a modest workshop with big ambitions has, over the last decade, grown into a company we’re incredibly proud of.
This year marks a special milestone for us: 10 years in business, 10 years of engineering excellence. Reaching this point hasn’t been about shortcuts or luck, but about consistent hard work, innovation, and the trust we’ve built with our customers along the way. Every project, whether large or small, has played a role in shaping who we are today. From fabricating bespoke machinery to installing platforms, conveyors, and specialist equipment, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, precision, and a “get it right first time” approach.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without our people. Our team’s skill, passion, and commitment have been the backbone of Tungsten Engineering since day one. Over the years, we’ve invested heavily in training, equipment, and technology — but it’s our people who have made the difference, bringing projects to life and ensuring our customers are looked after from start to finish.

At Tungsten Engineering, we pride ourselves on solving complex engineering challenges with practical, efficient, and robust solutions. A recent project that highlights our in-house capabilities from design through to manufacture was a special purpose machine, the development of a custom honing machine for a client in the automotive industry.
Understanding the Challenge
Our client approached us with a clear objective: they needed a machine capable of honing components to extremely tight tolerances, with consistent repeatability, minimal manual input, and the durability to withstand constant use. The solution had to be precise, reliable, and tailored specifically to their unique part geometry and throughput demands.
From Concept to Creation – All Under One Roof
With our in-house design team based in Warwick, we began by working closely with the client’s engineers to understand the exact reness for this special purpose machine, required tolerances, material types, and cycle times. From there, we developed a fully bespoke honing system that incorporated:
A rigid steel frame for vibration-free operation
A bowl feeder system to deliver parts accurately, as used in many special purpose machines
Custom clamping to suit the parts
Integrated coolant delivery and filtration system maintain tool life
Full electrical and safety integration to meet industry regulations
Designed for Performance, Built to Last
Our fabrication team manufactured all key components in-house, ensuring quality control throughout the build. The honing system was assembled, tested, and commissioned on-site before being passed to the client for final testing.

Tungsten Engineering has continued to invest in its infrastructure with the recent purchase of a Siegmund Pro modular welding table.
The new table will allow the fabrication specialists to create complex fixtures and jigs for one off bespoke fabrications as well as quick fixtures for batch and mass production work.
The new capability will reduce the amount of labour required for certain jobs meaning reduced costs can be passed on to its clients.
Tungsten Engineering has massively increased its folding capabilities with the purchase of a numerically controlled 3m x 100 tonne press brake.
The new machinery will allow the fabrication and welding specialists to fold and bend a wide range of materials and thicknesses accurately and consistently.
We also have the facilities and skills to bend a wide range of tube.
Tungsten Engineering has announced that it can now offer a bespoke TIG welding service for special tubular frames used in vehicle applications.
In its most recent milestone project the company worked closely with a customer using their JIGs and their components to weld together special thin-walled ultra-strong air hardened steel tubing to create the perfect bicycle frame.
During the project Tungsten used a specialised type of welding which required great skill and knowledge to create the perfect weld.
