Investing In people and safety

At Tungsten Engineering, we believe that investing in our people is just as important as investing in our equipment.

That’s why we’ve recently put all our team members through forklift training – ensuring everyone has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely and efficiently.

We’re proud to share that three of our staff achieved a perfect 100% score on their assessment – a fantastic result that reflects their dedication and professionalism.

Well done to the whole team for embracing the training and raising the bar on workplace safety.

At Tungsten, we know that when we invest in our people, everyone benefits – our team, our customers, and the quality of work we deliver.

10 years of engineering excellence

10 years of engineering excellence.

From our very first steps as a small local business, Tungsten Engineering has always been driven by one simple principle — to deliver quality engineering solutions that our customers can rely on. What started out as a modest workshop with big ambitions has, over the last decade, grown into a company we’re incredibly proud of.

This year marks a special milestone for us: 10 years in business, 10 years of engineering excellence. Reaching this point hasn’t been about shortcuts or luck, but about consistent hard work, innovation, and the trust we’ve built with our customers along the way. Every project, whether large or small, has played a role in shaping who we are today. From fabricating bespoke machinery to installing platforms, conveyors, and specialist equipment, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, precision, and a “get it right first time” approach.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our people. Our team’s skill, passion, and commitment have been the backbone of Tungsten Engineering since day one. Over the years, we’ve invested heavily in training, equipment, and technology — but it’s our people who have made the difference, bringing projects to life and ensuring our customers are looked after from start to finish.

We also owe an enormous thank you to our customers and partners. Many of you have been with us since the early days, trusting us with your projects and helping us to grow. Your support, feedback, and collaboration have been vital in taking us from those humble beginnings to where we are today.

As we celebrate this 10-year milestone, we look back with pride and gratitude — and forward with excitement. The journey so far has been incredible, but the best is yet to come. Here’s to the next decade of innovation, growth, and the next 10 years of engineering excellence.

Special purpose machine project

Special purpose machine project

At Tungsten Engineering, we pride ourselves on solving complex engineering challenges with practical, efficient, and robust solutions. A recent project that highlights our in-house capabilities from design through to manufacture was a special purpose machine, the development of a custom honing machine for a client in the automotive industry.

Understanding the Challenge
Our client approached us with a clear objective: they needed a machine capable of honing components to extremely tight tolerances, with consistent repeatability, minimal manual input, and the durability to withstand constant use. The solution had to be precise, reliable, and tailored specifically to their unique part geometry and throughput demands.

From Concept to Creation – All Under One Roof
With our in-house design team based in Warwick, we began by working closely with the client’s engineers to understand the exact reness for this special purpose machine, required tolerances, material types, and cycle times. From there, we developed a fully bespoke honing system that incorporated:

A rigid steel frame for vibration-free operation

A bowl feeder system to deliver parts accurately, as used in many special purpose machines

Custom clamping to suit the parts

Integrated coolant delivery and filtration system maintain tool life

Full electrical and safety integration to meet industry regulations

Designed for Performance, Built to Last
Our fabrication team manufactured all key components in-house, ensuring quality control throughout the build. The honing system was assembled, tested, and commissioned on-site before being passed to the client for final testing.

Supporting British Manufacturing

This project is just one example of how Tungsten Engineering supports British industry with precision-engineered machinery. From steel tanks and platforms to automated assembly solutions, we take pride in delivering equipment that meets the real-world demands of our customers.

Whether you’re in automotive, food production, marine, or general industry, we have the expertise and facilities to turn your idea into a fully functional solution.
